It was so hard to just leave lucas on the steps like that. She wanted so badly to go back there to him. But she knew that wouldn't be a good idea. So she walked away. And she kept walking until she knew if she looked back she wouldn't see Lucas.
Once Ashley was out of Lucas' vision, she started sprinting. Ashley didn't know why but every time something bad or stressful happened, Ashley would have a huge urge to run or exercise. And that's what she was doing. She ran straight to the forest just like the night before. She ran and ran until it got too hot.
Ashley headed back to the school reluctantly. Once she was there she heard the chapel bell ring signaling another hour had past. From what Ashley could tell from the sun, it was about noon. That would explain the empty quad. It was lunch time. Ashley yet again didn't feel like eating.
She headed back to her dorm and laid down for a few minutes. She felt better after running. It gave her a chance to clear her mind. Ashley got up from her bed and headed towards the showers. She took a long shower and went back to her room.

Lucas was in bed when Jamie walked into the room. Lucas didn't say anything but Jamie threw a pillow at him. "Dude, get up." He told him. "I can't. I messed everything up." Lucas complained. "Stop being such a girl." Jamie told Lucas. "You kissed a another girl. Brittany's probably going to kill her but you'll be fine." He threw another pillow at Lucas then took his shirt off.
Lucas got up from his bed. "I don't want Brittany to hurt Ashley though..." He said quietly. He was so confused. Did he actually really like Ashley? Jamie turned around and stopped getting ready once he said that. Oh god. You like her, don't you? That made things a lot more complicated.
"Come on, dude. We have practice." Jamie told Lucas as he got dressed in his work out clothes. This was the first actual lacrosse practice of the year. They had been going through conditioning all week and today they would find out who made the team. Both Lucas and Jamie had been on the team last year so it was a guarantee that they would be on this year too.
Lucas got up. Lacrosse was good. It would get his mind off of girls which is what he needed right now. He got dressed and headed out to the fields with Jamie. Jamie was talking about Kyle Harrison. Lucas had kind of zoned out. He thought he saw Ashley running across the field to her dorm. Maybe that was a sign. Or maybe he was just going crazy.
