On September 24th, 1940, Rosehurst Boarding Academy of Excellence opened its doors to the elite youth of the world and the gifted leaders of the future.
The co-ed private boarding academy was located in a small town, Andermatt in the heart of the Adula Alps. On the 10th anniversary of the school, a natural disaster occurred. In the Winter of 1950-1, Andermatt was hit with what is now known as the Winter of Terror. Andermatt and Rosehurst was hit by six avalanches within a sixty minute period. Rosehurst Boarding Academy was evacuated as fast as possible but unfortunately 2 staff members were killed in the chaos. A total of over 265 people were killed in the tragedy, 13 of those people being locals from Andermatt.
The Rosehurst Boarding Academy student body were determined to get through this rough time. So from countless donations and an unlimited amount of hope, Rosehurst relocated as a whole to the United States. The school is now located near a small but modern town in Connecticut. It only took about three months to completely build the entire campus. After that, classes started up again.
As time went progressed, Rosehurst Boarding Academy of Excellence quickly got a reputation as on of the best schools around. Rosehurst was known all around the world for not only it's impressive academic programs, but it's first class preforming arts. Rosehurst also became famous for it's accepting nature. The melting pot of the school world, if you will. Everybody knew about Rosehurst.
Because of the popularity of Rosehurst, the school got hundreds of applications daily. They had the ability to be selective. Interviewing for Rosehurst was almost as hard as Interviewing for a college, and it was worth it if you got in. Rosehurst was a small school, accepting only 350 students total every year. The yearly tuition for one student was $35,000 a year. Of course, for the students without the funds for tuition could always apply for scholarships. 94 of the Rosehurst student body had scholarships.
For all that money, students and parents expect only the best. And that's what Rosehurst provides. The classes have 10 students at most at one time so each student gets the one on one attention they need. In addition to that, the students are served three gourmet meals a day. Along with those things, Rosehurst has several social functions that students are encouraged to attend.
This year, Rosehurst Boarding Academy of Excellence is celebrating it's 60th anniversary. That means this year is going to be bigger and better then ever. More school productions, higher expectations, and harder work. It also means wilder parties, longer nights, juicier secrets, and hotter hookups. Remember Rosehurst's unofficial motto: 'It's not wrong until you get caught.' And even then, If you have enough money you can get out of anything. With that being said, Good luck kiddies, and let the games begin. Let's make this year a year nobody will ever forget.
