Chris was shocked when Alexis actually stopped walking and came back to him. "Well, what do you need help with?" He asked. He was more then willing to help. He became a teacher because he wanted to be the thing he never had. Guidance. As a boarding school kid, you grew up without a parental figure in your life. If you could help even one person, then he would have achieved what he came here for.

Alexis thought about this for a second "Jouralism." she said. She was good at writing but she wasn't able to word things right. She wasn't sure she would be able to pass this class. "What about history?" she asked. There was an exam coming up and she wasn't able to attend class but Mr. Meade wouldn't care.

Chris smiled. He wrote a note to Mr. Meade excusing Alexis and handed it to her. "Go. Take you test. Then meet me after school. We'll work on journalism then." He told her.

Alexis did as she was told. She finally took the text. It wasn't that hard for her. She loved history after all. She was happy when class was over. She walked across the place and finally fouynd Chris. "Mr Evans." she said as she approached him.

Chris was talking to Wynter when Alexis arrived. He was giving her back her phone and Wynter was blushing profusely while she tried forming complete sentences. "I'll see you in class tomorrow Ms. Van Hale." He told Wynter, pushing her off into the direction of her dorm. She wasn't the first student to crush on him, he always found it endearing. "Hey." He said, turning to Alexis.

Alexis looked at Wynter "I'm sorry. was I interrupting?" she asked. She placed her books in her other hand and looked at him "Hello. Just where are we going to be studying?" she asked. She just wanted to place her things down.

"In my classroom." Chris told Alexis. He looked down and realized he was still holding Wynter's phone. She had run off before actually getting her phone back. He sighed. "I'll be right back. I'll just meet you in the room." He told her before running off towards Wynter. He wasn't going to carry around a pink bedazzled cell phone all day.

Alexis sighed "And he is gone." she said to herself as she headed for the classroom. She didn't want to be rude but he shouldn't have left her like that. Oh well, it didn't matter anyways.
Now waiting in the room, Lexi looked around to see what there was in the room. She saw the decor and saw it was something else. It was amazing what you would find here. She went over to the window and sat on the ledge of the windowsill and waited.

Chris walked through the doors a few minutes later. "Sorry about that." He told her as he sat down at his desk. "So what do you need help with in journalism?" He asked as he sorted through some papers

Lexi sighed. SHe hated asking for help but it was for the best "I just don't understand how you can only side with one. If you write a paper you need to hear both sides." she said as she sat in the desk ahead of him, now waiting.

Chris looked over to her. "So you're talking about debate pieces. I can see where you're coming from but if you're writing a one sided debate piece, then it would be called an persuasive piece and you can't go wrong with that. It's your opinion and everyone has their right to form their opinion. You're just there telling people why you think your side is better." He explained. "And someone out there is probably arguing the other side."

Lexi sighed "No its called an editorial. And I know that but if you do that then what is the point?" she asked. She had taken this with her mother all the time. She didn't think she needed to take it again but here she was. It was rather annoying.
She took out her notebook. She didn't want the teacher to see the pages she had written. Everything in there was basically her wanting herself dead. 'Worthless. Hated. Unwanted.' etc. It didn't help that everyone said that about her. She flipped it to an open, blank page, praying he didn't see.

Chris cocked his head when he saw her notebook. There was actually righting in it. "You took notes?" He asked, reaching for the notebook. Alexis didn't seem like the note taker type. He managed to get the notebook out of her hands before she could protest. He flipped a few pages back and read. "what-" He turned a few more pages back to see the same thing. 'Worthless, stupid, ugly, pathetic' The words jumped off of the page to him. "What is this?" He asked, looked at Alexis.

Alexis looked down, she didn't say a work just looked at the desk "No....nothing." she said. She shouldn't have pulled it out. She didn't need notes. She had a great memory. She didn't know how to explain. Project? Or should she just tell him the truth. "I'm sorry." she said sounding defeated

"Alexis. What is this?" He asked again. This explained a lot. Her sense of self worthlessness. Nobody deserved to feel like that. "What is this?" He asked again, a little harsher when she didn't answer. "And why are you sorry?" He asked utterly confused. She had done nothing wrong.
