All in a Days Work (Alex Piper)

Tori was so bored! It was her free period so she decided to head to the library and cause trouble there. It wasn't much to do but then again, there wasn't much she could do. It seemed that every time she wanted to hang out with her cousin, Matthew, he was too busy with normal school things and other classes to continue his family's footsteps. It was annoying but then again Tori couldn't do much.

As she placed her books on the table with a BANG. She was rather annoyed and the librarian just made it worse. Instead of saying okay she replied with "Just leave me alone and we will get along!" she nearly yelled. When she heard the foots backing off she smiled 'All in a Days work'

She heard foot steps coming closer to her. "I thought I told you people to leave me alone! I won't follow the rules!"

Alex had a free period right now. Usually he would go out to the field and play a pic up game of lacrosse or something but for some reason nobody was there today. Now he had nothing to do so he headed to the quad. Again, nobody was really there. So he couldn't even join a game of frisbee. Finally, he reluctantly went to his last resort. The library.

He walked up the big front steps and through the huge oak doors. It was quiet as usual. A real snooze fest. He walked over to the manuscripts section and took a copy of Antony and Cleopatra. Although most people from the states couldn't even understand Shakespeare, Alex loved his work.

He sat down at a semi deserted table and started reading. He had read the first few chapters when a couple of the cheerleaders called him over to their table to talk about something. He went over there and ended up staying and talking to the three pretty girls. Soon after the conversation started Alex, along with several other people, got distracted by someone who was basically yelling at the librarian. She was making all sorts of noises, hitting her books on the table, yelling, it was rude.

Alex noticed the girl had slammed to books on the table he was just at. He excused himself from the table and walked over to get his manuscript back so he could finish reading it. Even though he already knew how it ended, he still wanted to finish reading it.

As he approached, the girl started yelling at him. He had to work to hide his smile of amusement from the hot head. Alex put his hands up in the air. "Hey, I just wanted to get my stuff." He said in a soothing voice, trying to reason with the girl. He slowly moved closer to the table and grabbed the manuscript and showed the girl.

Tori was in no mood to talk "Ok. Well bye!" she said as she fanned her papers about the place. She hated working and trying to reason. It always ended badly. She never got anything done. And that was also very annoying to her. The school paper was due very soon and the stupid editors didn't have a thing. Now it was up to Tori to figure something out. As always.

When she soon felt bad when she heard him she turned around "I'm sorry, I just have alot on my plate." it was the truth. She hated being over-worked and it made her feel pressured and nearly couldn't help her focus. Still, she had no right to snap at the person. "Victoria is my name. But everyone calls me Tori." she said smiling up at him. He was rather cute she would admit.

"I'm sorry but I have alot of work to do and not enough time to do it in so I really have no time to chat." she said looking down at the table with all the papers. She had many more in her book bag, nearly two folders were overflowing with more papers of things she could or had wrote about.

She laughed "I'll try to be more quiet so you can chat with your groupies but I can't make any promises. I'm not one for following the rules." she warned him. She was never one to be tamed, but then again she loved that about her.

Alex just stood there for a moment, not believing that this girl just snapped at him. "Okay then..." He said quietly and started backing away from the table. She dumped her papers on the table and they spread all out. That was a lot of work. He could see why she was stressed.

"It's cool." He told her. "You look very busy." He said as he continued to back away. Alex wouldn't mind hanging out with her but she seemed a little too high strung for his taste. It also seemed like she was way too busy to hang out.

Alex smiled and looked back at the table he was just sitting at with the cheerleaders. They were all huddled together staring at Alex and Tori whispering to each other. "They're not groupies, just friends." He told her. "That's good. Cause I'm not really one for rules either." He said as he turned and walked back to the table with the girls.

Tori rolled her eyes and snickered "Wow. Cheerleaders scare me." she said as she looked at the time "Oh no! I'm late!" she said as she was packing her things. She was suppose to help Annah and Zoey with cheerleading. She was into it but not wanting to join. "I thank god to allow me to make room with friends." she muttered to herself as she finished packing.

She recognized one of the cheerleaders. She was mean and were hateful to her. And she was looking dreamily at Alex. 'Might as well make her hate me more.' She told herself as she walked up to Alex "Here is my number...call me and we can hang out sometime." she said blowing him a kiss. After she walked away she looked back at the cheerleader and smirked.

Alex had turned his attention back to the girls at the table. They were talking about...well Alex didn't really know what they were talking about. He had zoned out a while ago. "Tori then walked up to the table and was acting completely different. She gave him her phone number and was being flirty. Alex nodded his head towards her with her number in his hand.

Before he could even look down at it, the cheerleaders had plucked it from his hands. "506-Oh you don't care, do you babe?" One of them asked, reading the little piece of paper then ripping it to shreds before he could answer. The girls then went back to talking amongst themselves.

The cheerleader Tori had zeroed in on to make jealous wasn't going to take this lying down. When she was sure Tori was looking or at least in hearing distance, she leaned over the table, giving him a good look at her cleavage and said, "I love your eyes, they're so intense." She then brushed his hair out of his face with her hand and smiled.

Tori didn't stop but she didn't let it show that she had heard. 'Fine, let her have him. See if I care. Its always the same.' she told herself as she got to the door. 'So much for us hanging out though. He won't know where to find me.' she told herself once more.

Zoey and Annah found her and Zoey asked what was wrong. When Tori told her Zoey walked in to the room, grabbed Alex's hand, and dragged him out. Once they were away from the cheerleaders but in listening view Zoey smirked "Stop trying to get him you slut. He is going to hook up with Tori." she said and brought Alex out to Tori and Annah.

Annah just stood there but Tori was like "What the hell Zoey!" then she looked at Alex "I'm sorry for her rudeness. If you want we can all four hang out. If not you can talk to those Cheerleaders."

Alex tried to ignore when Vanessa ran her hand through his hair. What was really hard to ignore was the fact that her chest was right in front of his face. He smiled a bit and put his hands on her shoulders, guiding her back to her chair. He went back to the normal conversation they had been having. He quickly zoned out again though.

"Woah!" Alex was getting pulled along by a blonde girl she didn't know. "Um What are you doing?" He asked as he was pulled out of the library. The girl didn't answer but they eventually met up with Tori and Annah.

Although he didn't know what was going on, he decided to hang out with these girls for a while. It had to be better then hanging out with the cheerleaders. "So what are you guys doing?" He asked as he sat down and watched the girl.

Annah laughed "Dance...Tori is the best Dancer ever met....she teaches us everything. Plus its 3...Tori takes time out for her friends...didn't you know?" she asked then looked at Tori. "Have you two ever hung out?" she asked. Tori shook her head. She was never good at making friends cause of her temper "Nope....he just met me." she said a bit sadly for how she acted.

Annah sighed and grabbed Tori's hand and placed it in his "Come on come on!" she said as she pulled Zoey and the united hands of Tori and Alec. Tori smiled, no laughed, and was like "ok ok ok...we're coming."

Alex relaxed a bit as time went on. "Yeah. Tori yelled at me. Then tried to make those cheerleaders jealous by giving me her phone number. Which I'll need again." He said. Girls just assumed guys were completely oblivious to everything but Alex wasn't.

"Where are we going now?" He asked as he got up and started after all the girls. His hand holding Tori's.

Tori sighed "We are going to the gym. Its time for the dance team to practice but Annah canceled cthe meeting so I could help her." she explained as she looked down at their hands. Annah was no longer hold them but yet they were still holding hands. She looked around and smirked "Annah? You passed the door." she snickered.

Annah sighed "Not again!" she muttered to herself groaning.

Alex smiled to himself when Annah obviously passed the door to the gym. Once they were in the gym, Alex let go of Annah's hand and sat down on the bleachers. He wanted to see if they were any good.

Annah finally got in and Tori was in the bleachers watching the dance team. She smiled "They need a few tweeks and turns here and there but good. I think anyways." she said as they started flipping and moving their hips.

Alex watched with a smile on his face. They weren't any cheerleaders, but they were good. They were definitely nicer then most of the cheerleaders. "Are any of you guys on the cheer team?" He asked. "I haven't seen you." And he was on the lacrosse team so he would've seen them if they were on the team.

Annah laughed "I'm on the team. Tori is just helping alot." she said. Tori was the nerd that no one wanted to be around and Annah was the runaway Princess so they were good friends. Plus Zoey and Tori shared a room.

Tori looked at Alex "Whats wrong?" she asked. She changed into tee shirt that showed her form perfectly and shorts that barely covered her. Her hair was placed up in a pony tail and she was a bit flushed. "Annah...Your in!" she said as she sat down on the bleachers next to Alex. She wasn't as close as most girls got but still.
