Childhood/History: ashley mackenzie aims was born on january first, nineteen ninety four, in melbourne, australia at three fifteen a.m.. her birthmother, emily sterling, was only sixteen when she had ashley and wasn't ready for the responsibility of a child yet, so she gave her up for adoption. in less then a year, ashley was officially part of the aims family. her adopted father, damon, is a very powerful ambassador and her adopted mother, amanda, is the editor-at-large at vogue. ashley's fathers job required him to move around a lot. because of that, ashley has lived all over the world, never in one place for more then two years. as a result of moving around so much, she has a lot of friends all over the world. even with all of her friends, she has never really let anyone in. ashley is very guarded and always pushes people away if she thinks they're getting too close. ashley is one of the greatest people you will ever know, but if you hurt her, she will more then likely act like you are dead to her. she will be civil to you, but ashley doesn't show much emotion other then happy. nobody worries about her that way. she had to learn a different language for almost everywhere they went. nine languages in total. she learned to adapt to her surroundings very quickly. ashley never understood why she had to continue to move with them though, because her parents were never home anyway. the only people ever at home were herself, her brother, and their nanny. by the time ashley was 12, she was living by herself in my families mansion. her brother had been sent off to yet another boarding school and her parents decided she didn't need a nanny anymore. living like this, ashley was forced to grow up fast. even though her parents are pretty much absent in her day to day life, they expect nothing but the best from her. ashley is expected to keep my grades up to a four point zero grade point average or higher, and she is to do charity work as much as she can. other then that, ashley's parents couldn't care less what she doing, as long as she doesn't do anything to embarrass my family. well, as long as she doesn't do anything and get caught. nobody had ever taken the time with ashley to teach her how to solve relationship problems. if anything ever got too bad, ashley's solution was to run away from it, literally. Ashley had the ability to just pick and and move anywhere in the world. when ashley was 14, her best friend, brittany white, who she had known since she was 6 months old, became very ill. brittany eventually discovered she was dying of brain cancer. it was already so severe, even with treatment, she would die. so everyday, ashley went to the hospital to sit with her. people think dying is the worst thing that can happen to them, but when you have to watch someone you love(the only person that was always there for ashley, in her case) slowly and painfully die, you realize you could care less about yourself, and would rather die, then have to watch them suffer. this didn't mean ashley was suicidal by any means. it just means it was pretty much torture to see something like that. two months after brittany's sixteenth birthday, she passed away. that day, not only did ashley lose her best friend, she also lost a part of herself. a part of her that she will never get back. after brittany's death, ashley slipped into a small case of depression. It took everything ashley had to come back from that, but she did. as ashley got older and got used to moving around so often, she learned to only take interest in things that didn't change anywhere. thus the reason she is so passionate about artistic things such as dance, gymnastics, reading, writing, art, photography, and film. because anywhere she moved, it would be the same. and when things are constantly changing around you, you need something solid. something that never changes. ashley puts her heart and soul into dance and gymnastics. she tends to get lost in those two things and it always makes her feel amazing. ashley was classically trained in dance since she was four and is nationally ranked in gymnastics. ashley works hard at the things she loves, which is why she is so good at them. right now, ashley is just trying to move on with her life.
