GENERAL

- We have some easy rules to follow so please take the time to at least skim through them. the excuse 'i did not know' will not suffice since all the rules are right here.
- All rules must be read before becoming a member or posting your application. Furthermore, you may not post anywhere, until your application is accepted.
- This site is more for experienced RPers so the rating is set at M. That being said, I will not condone constant sex threads or threads with graphic gore and violence as they aren't always necessary. If you do feel the need to exercise some of your more mature side, please put a [M] in the thread title, just as a warning. We have younger members on this site and we wish to honor that. If you're not sure if your thread is mature or not, ask an admin.

- Only join and participate in Rosehurst RPG if you are willing to take it seriously. Members put a lot of hard work into their RPs and you should respect that to a level that if you are going to participate in their RPs you will be willing to take their work seriously and remain committed to it.
APPLYING
- - - - - - -
- Please make your application within at least two weeks of registering, we are going to be trying to keep this site as clean and orderly as possible.
- We do not accept any Mary Sue's or Marty Stu's. No Anti Mary Sue or Marty Stu's either. Be realistic when creating your characters.
- We're not going to tell you how many characters you can or can't have, because that's completely up to you. Make only as many as you can handle. Treat them like your babies. If you can't keep up with many posts & replies, then don't make more characters than you can handle. If we see characters you've made, kinda getting left behind or not posting, then we will ask you to drop them & we'll delete them. It's nothing personal against you, we just wanna keep all characters active & alive, not dead & un-active. A rule of thumb, try to keep all of your characters involved in one thread each. If you can't do that, you have too many characters and should delete some.
- Another rule is that for every two girls you make at least one boy to keep the male:female ratio somewhat balanced.
- Please check the character portrayal list before choosing your characters face to make sure it's not already in use. Also, please have your famous portrayer within a ten year range of your characters age.
ROLEPLAYING

-Although we don't have a word count, we are a literate site and in those regards we ask that our members post something of substance. We've all been newbies at one point in time and while we do accept people who don't have a lot of experience, we ask that if you're one of them, you do your very best to keep up. If you're having any trouble, please pm an admin. We're super friendly and would absolutely love to help you get into the swing of things. Please, no one liners!
- To make it more organized and easy for everyone it is going to be a requirement to post IC in third person. It is the easiest to follow this way and honestly is more professional. Of course the third person rule doesn’t apply to dialogue and thoughts because that would just be weird. If you accidentally mess up once or twice and throw an I or Me in there no one is going to shoot you. Just please don’t do it all the time.
- I can not stress this enough. Please use proper grammar and spelling. We do not accept any text talk or I.M. speak. It's harder to read and understand. If you simply aren't a strong speller/typist, that's okay. We can usually tell the difference between accidental typos and intentional txtspeak.
- To avoid confusion, please use a standard set of symbols to indicate certain actions. Such as quotations when speaking and put all your characters thoughts in italics.
- NO powerplaying / godmodding. In other words; you do not control every single character on this board. The whole point of rping is interacting with other people! So do not make your characters all knowing of everything.
- No crossover character names. We don't need a "Bella Swan" on the Cheer Squad or a "Ron Weasley" on the Rosehurst lacrosse team. When you create an original character, please make them original. This does not mean you can't use Kristen Stewart or Rupert Grint as a portrayer, just that you can't have a character named "Bella Swan" or "Ron Weasley" (or any other book/television/movie character).
ANYTHING ELSE
- - - - - - - - - - -
- When making a comment that comes from you rather than your character, please label it as OOC (out of character). Try not to use OOC very often. If you want to have OOC conversations, please do so by PM or in the C-box.
- Spamming anywhere on this site is not allowed. If we find out that you are doing this, your account and P.I. Address will be banned. Simple as that.
- If you are not active for 2 MONTHS, your account will be deleted from this site. We don't want players who never come on. (You can post in the temporary absence board if you know you're not going to be able to get on for a certain amount of time and don't want to be deleted. But you have to come back!)
- Last but not least, Have Fun! It's the reason we're here, after all.
If you have a question, please PM any of the staff members. Thank you for taking time to read the rules and we hope your join our board. Please remember the rules and follow them. No one want’s their account deleted. These Rules are subject to change without warning at any time
